The Beginning: West Coast surfer boy meets East Coast horse girl in Seville, Spain. The two fall in love, get married and discover their calling to serve at risk youth in their Houston community.
The Serratos share a passion for investing in the youth in their community. While Ezekiel grew up serving at youth camps, Kendall was serving in the special needs ministry and mentoring younger equestrians in college.
As children of entrepreneurs, both Ezekiel and Kendall are passionate about helping young people find ways to invest in their talents. They dreamed of combining their own passions under one platform to create a collaborative, inclusive, and wholesome environment. Thus FORWARD STRIDE was formed.
This non-profit is unique in that students have the opportunity to learn from professionals in the business, music, film and equine industries.
Though community is key! We move FORWARD together. The Serratos believe that growth happens in an inclusive and supportive environment.

OUR VISION
Our vision is to work with adolescence and teenagers that battle with mental health issues and those that have been victims of emotional/mental/domestic violence and sexual abuse and build an inclusive community of confident, emotionally fit and servant-hearted youth leaders through art therapy, music, therapy, equine-assisted services and vocational training in film and bussiness.
